Licensed & Trusted

Fully Licensed, Fully Accountable

We are not a hobby breeder working in the margins. The Berner's Ranch holds four separate licenses and is fully regulated — because the families who trust us with a puppy deserve to know exactly who they are working with.

USDA License

Federally licensed and inspected under the USDA — the standard that keeps every dog in our care accountable.

Business License

A registered West Virginia business, operating openly and paying our way like any other local family business.

Kennel License

License for the kennel itself, so the space our dogs live in meets the standards it is supposed to.

Breeding License

Licensed to breed — which means how we raise and place our litters is held to someone else's rules, not just ours.

Every Berner we raise comes from a fully licensed, USDA-regulated program — so you can bring your puppy home with complete confidence.

  • Everything done before eight weeks

Puppies go home with all shots through eight weeks, deworming, and dew claws removed.

  • 100% purebred Bernese Mountain Dogs

No mixes, no shortcuts — every puppy comes from our own line of Bernese Mountain Dogs.

We never want a surprise vet bill or heartbreak for your family, so we do the work up front.

Meet Roger

The Man Behind the Ranch

Roger runs The Berner's Ranch. He lives here in Gassaway, West Virginia with his family and his Bernese Mountain Dogs, and he raises them because he loves the breed — their gentleness, their loyalty, and the way they settle into a home like they have always belonged there.

He is not a large operation, and he does not want to be. Every puppy is born in his home and handled from the first days of life. When you reach out, you are talking to Roger directly — not a salesperson, not an assistant.

His promise is simple: do right by the dogs, and do right by the families who bring them home.

"We listen first. Then we help you find the Berner that fits your family."

— Roger
